Your quick guide to all things related to artificial intelligence, ChatGPT, and the ethics of using GenAI in higher education

How to Cite GenAI in IEEE

Please note that, while IEEE has not formally included guidelines on citing AI-generated content, it must still be disclosed in any article submitted for publication through IEEE. Sections where GenAI content has been added should be distinguished, along with explanations of how, to what extent, and what purpose the AI tool was used. This can be found in IEEE's Submission and Peer Review Policies page, under Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Generated Text

For more information on citing other sources in IEEE format, feel free to consult the IEEE Reference Guide. If you'd like to know how to cite in other style formats, take a look at our How to Cite and Manage Sources LibGuide.
