You can place holds on select models of equipment and pick them up at the Circulation desk.
Step-by-Step Process
- Click the link of the item you want to request (see below).
- Note: you are limited to one hold request per category. Staff will delete duplicate requests.
- Sign in with your myUMBC credentials and click Request from UMBC. Follow the prompts and submit the request.
- Wait for an email (to your UMBC address) that tells you it's here.
- Take your campus card to the Circulation desk and pick it up.
Policies
- You must pick up the hold at the Circulation desk within one (1) calendar day of receiving the email (weekends included)
- You may not have simultaneous loans and requests of DML equipment
- You may loan or request only one item per category
- Regular DML loan policies apply
- Free to borrow
- Seven-day loan with no renewals
- Late fines of $5 per item
- Limited to one of each category (e.g., one camera model at a time)
- Responsible for all equipment and accessories and subject to lost/replacement charges
Equipment Available to Request
Click on the model, sign in with myUMBC credentials, and then select "Request from UMBC."
These items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis if there are no hold requests.
You can see live availability numbers at the DML website by clicking on Equipment that can be checked out.
