Pilot Program for DML Equipment Holds

The DML will allow patrons to place holds on select models of equipment between March 3–May 16, 2025. This is a pilot program intended to collect data and usage insights and it may or may not be repeated in the future.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Click the link of the item you want to request (see below).
    • Note: you are limited to one hold request per category. Staff will delete duplicate requests.
  2. Sign in with your myUMBC credentials and click Request from UMBC. Follow the prompts and submit the request.
  3. Wait for an email (to your UMBC address) that tells you it's here.
  4. Take your campus card to the Circulation desk and pick it up.

  • You must pick up the hold at the Circulation desk within one (1) calendar day of receiving the email (weekends included)
