Materials pertaining to Parapsychology can be found in UMBC Special Collections and in the Library's general collection. Below are some tips on ways to search for relevant book holdings at UMBC.
Search Everything: Searches the holdings at all the USM and affiliated libraries and allows books to be requested through the catalog. In addition to keyword and name searching use subject headings to find materials. Some examples of related subject headings are:
- Parapsychology
- Parapsychology Research
- Psychology, Experimental
- Occultism
- Spiritualism
- Extrasensory Perception
Search Special Collections: Limits your search to holdings within UMBC Special Collections. To limit your search to Special Collections, type your search term into the search bar and use the drop down arrow at the right to select "Special Collections." Once the search results page loads, you can limit your search further by clicking the "Location" drop-down tab at the left, clicking the box next to "Eileen J. Garrett Parapsychology Foundation Collection," and clicking "Apply Filters."
Please note: we are in the process of cataloging the Garrett Collection. New books and serials are being added to the catalog weekly.

WorldCat UMBC: Searches UMBC collection and can be used to search holdings in libraries all over the world. Books not held at UMBC can be requested through InterLibrary Loan.
