Company financials and other business information is often difficult to find in peer reviewed and/or academic journals apart from historical or aggregate statistics. However, different databases (links in the box below) do offer access to a variety of data:
- Business Source Premier: use for articles in business-related journals about industries and companies. Includes peer reviewed articles, SWOT analyses, trade journals and more.
- Nexis Uni: Use the 'Get Company Info' tab to get to current company financials, trade/industry news, executives, patents, more.
- Patent searching: the USPTO is the official site for patent information, but some find the Google patent search or the LexisNexis patent search easier to use. Both link to the USPTO site. The European Patent Office site offers info on patents granted outside the U.S.
