The Library Media Department, located on the 2nd floor of the Library, houses over 7,000 DVDs and over 9,000 CDs. Items may be checked out for 7 days.
- Genre & Subject Lists - lists of CDs and DVDs on a variety of topics
- LP/Vinyl Records Database - search for LPs and vinyl records (these items are NOT included in the library catalog)
- Streaming Video Links - links to campus videos and other academic videos
- Books on CD - the Library has a small number of books on CD (audiobooks). Your local public library would be a better source for these items.
Checking out CDs & DVDs
- Use the CD & DVD Search (box below) to find the item you want - write down the Call Number.
- Use the Call Number to locate the item on the shelf - NOTE: boxes on the shelf are empty.
- Bring the empty box and your UMBC ID card to the Media Desk to request the item.
