What is EndNote Basic?

EndNote Basic (formerly EndNote Web) is a web-based citation manager that allows for gathering, storage, and management of citations in a web-based environment.

EndNote Basic accounts can be accessed from any computer with internet access. Citations can be directly transferred from selected databases (Web of Science, Ebsco), imported from saved (exported) records, or entered individually.

 

Setting up EndNote Basic Account

Navigate to www.myendnoteweb.com

1. Click "create an account"

2. Complete registration information, carefully following password guidelines

3.Click I agree below Service Agreement

 

Account Requirements

Initial registration must be done via an authenticated IP address, either

  • Through a computer on campus, or
  • Remotely and registering for an account with Web of Science
 

Roaming Access

Once initial account registration is complete, roaming access):

  • is available for 12 months
  • must be renewed every 12 months by login from an authenticated IP address (computer on campus, or off campus authentication)
