What is Endnote Web?

EndNote Web is a web-based citation manager that allows for gathering, storage, and management of citations in a web-based environment.

EndNote Web accounts can be accessed from any computer with internet access. Citations can be directly transferred from selected databases (Web of Science, PubMed, Library catalog), imported from saved (exported) records, or entered individually.

 

Setting up Endnote Web Account

Navigate to www.myendnoteweb.com

1. Click Sign Up for an account

2. Complete registration information, carefully following password guidelines

3.Click I agree below Service Agreement

 

Note 1

Initial registration must be done via an authenticated IP address

  • A computer on campus
  • Remotely using the campus VPN (https://vpn.umbc.edu)
  • Remotely using Research Port (http://researchport.umd.edu) and registering for an account with Web of Science

Once initial account registration is complete, roaming access (from any computer with internet access):

  • is available for 12 months
  • must be renewed every 12 months by login from an authenticated IP address (computer on campus, via the campus VPN, or Web of Science login via Research Port>go to My EndNote Web tab in Web of Science)
